The Piranha System

In a nutshell ... Piranha propellers are the only Propeller with replaceable blades in the world.

This means they are the only propeller in the world you can repair yourself ... all you do is replace the damaged blades.

Or you can change the pitch by fitting a set of blades with a different pitch if you wish which is extremely handy if dad likes to fish and the kids want to ski ... How About That?

Piranha propellers are also the only manufacturer in the world prepared to give you a lifetime warranty on the propeller hub which means all you ever do is buy propeller blades which Piranha cannot guarantee simply because Piranha don't know what underwater obstruction you are going to hit ... or how hard you are going to hit it.

What holds them all together?

I'm told a picture is worth 1000 words so this might help you better understand "The Piranha System".



It would be safe to say the three peice hub has mostly been replaced by the two peice hub as the front cap is now integral with the hub ... in most cases.

So basically that's how the Piranha System works but here is another image (on the right) just in case it's not completely clear to you.



By now you would be able to see why a Piranha propeller is becoming the propeller to have on your boat.

Piranha propellers also manufacture four blade propellers for most motors above seventy horsepower so if you have an outboard or sterndrive over seventy horsepower there's a good chance Boat Propellers Australia will have a Piranha prop to fit it.

In general you will experience a better ride with less vibration from a four blade propeller but they are a bit slower in top speed than three blade props due to the drag of the extra blade, if for instance water skiing is a priority then a minor loss in top speed is outweighed by the increase in pulling power.
