Outboard propellers as well
as the design and development of boats have both been
dramatically influenced by Technology.
The three key
factors affecting performance have not changed.
Outboard
and sterndrive Propellers are very exposed and vulnerable.
Do you enjoy the
security of a spare prop on board your boat?
You wouldn't go
anywhere without a spare wheel in your car ... would
you?
WHAT TO DO NOW.
First
Up ... Why Buy A Propeller From Us?
Jim Calder
of Boat Propellers Australia has spent a lifetime servicing
and repairing outboard motors and sterndrives ... it goes
without saying he is a well qualified
technician
Naturally ... learning
about propellers and understanding how they work was a
necessity.
This "hands on" knowledge
then became available to boaties just like yourself through
Boat Propellers Australia.
Boat
Propellers Australia are backed up by the technicians at the
Piranha Propellers factory and the Michigan Wheel factory both
in the U.S.A. so if Boat Propellers Australia don't know the
answer to your problem ... they can soon get it.
So ...
why would you not buy a propeller from
us?
This
website reveals:-
Everything you always
wanted to know about boat propellers.
However if all this is a bit
confusing you can always take the easy way out by
following:-
Rule Number One.
If you are
happy with the performance of your current propeller then just
decide if you want a metal or a modern (alloy or composite)
prop and replace it with the same diameter and pitch prop.
If you are not happy with
your current propeller ...
We Need To
Know
Any and all
markings or part numbers either on the outside or the inside
diameter of the propeller hub.
The
maximum R.P.M. your motor will reach with your current prop
when running at wide open throttle (W.O.T.) with a "normal"
load on board.

You Should
Know
To INCREASE
R.P.M. DECREASE propeller pitch.
To
DECREASE R.P.M. INCREASEpropeller pitch.
Generally speaking the following
rule of thumb can be applied to propellers.
Reducing the pitch of your propeller
by two inches will ussually produce a 400 R.P.M. increase in
your engine speed.
You could say the
R.P.M. will increase or decrease by 200 R.P.M. for every inch
of pitch by which the prop is either increased or decreased
but since most propeller manufacturers offer props which
differ in pitch by two inches at a time we use the 400 R.P.M.
analogy.
How To Order.
So armed with
all this knowledge ... go to our "contact us" page and
click on the e-mail logo under the importer ... or the dealer
of your choice.
If you know the size
of the propeller you need then ask for a quote. If the price
is acceptable to you then order a propeller and;
If
you wish to pay by Credit Card
...
If you don't have your card
handy ... supply your telephone number and the best time to
call you, alternatively you could call us on (03) 5777
3294)
If you prefer to make a
direct deposit ... we will give you our bank details.
In the event you are not sure what propeller you need
just give us everything we need to know to help us compute what you need.
Then
allow about two working days for your prop to be delivered.
It's Really That
Easy.
P.S. Don't forget ... Piranha offer a lifetime
warranty on every propeller hub as well as twenty years of
proven performance.
